Our group is very friendly and provides a great opportunity to socialize for both people and dogs. Yay! It can be hard to find a safe place for little dogs to socialize and hav …

For example, your dog comes to play with our 2-year-old golden mix for several hours one day a week, then she comes to play in your back yard w/ your pup another day. Looking to develop a list of owners who have well-socialized dogs and suitable yards who can set up play-date exchanges. Why pay $15-$20 a day at doggie day care, when our dogs can play with each ot …

I decided to start this group because I lost my Boston Terrier, Daisy to a brain tumor and Valentine's Day 2009 and I have been battling bone cancer with my American Bulldog, Lily, for over 3 years. 2 Million Dogs was formed with the singular aim of eradicating cancer in pets and people and it will work towards that end by educating people about and investing in comparative oncology studies
Denver has had a fabulous Great Dane meetup in the past and we should like to continue that tradition. It is invaluable to find other Dane owners to discuss the joys of owning these gentle giants, as well as give our oversized-lap dogs an opportunity to play together. Anyone who has a Great Dane, or mix of some kind, should feel welcome to join our group and give their pup an opportunity to play with someone their own size!

The Railyard Dogpark is close to the city and I-25. It is located at the intersection of 19th & Bassett. Sometimes we can't get to other Doxie meetups in the area so why not here. We live in an area where there are plenty of Doxie owners who share that same sentiment. Plus, the Doxies can run around freely (in the small dog section) without leashes. Commons Park/Riverfront Park is right up the street and affords a welcome diversion for the Doxies to chase those pesky squirrels!

What is treibball?
Treibball, or driving ball, is a new competitive dog sport for dogs of all ages, and sizes, who love to play chase games or who love to herd. Invented in Germany a few years ago by Dutchman Jan Nijboer, the first competitive match was held in 2007. It’s great fun for any energetic dog who needs a job, or a herding dog that doesn’t have the opportunity to work sheep. Watch this You Tube to get an idea on how the “game” is played.

We hope to get as many puppies properly socialized as we can! Proper socialization is key to raising a well-adjusted adult dog. Dogs that are properly socialized as puppies interact and play well with other dogs, are much better off at vet and grooming appointments, and in general are much more comfortable with strangers, and in general are set up for a much higher quality standard of living where they can do more activities out and about with their families. Puppy Socialization can also save li …
